Bennett & Game are representing an established and financially secure principal contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Procurement Manager to join their growing team.
The company specialises in technically complex façade remediation, cladding and building envelope projects across the UK, working across residential, commercial and public sector developments. With a strong pipeline of secured work extending well beyond 2026, the business continues to invest in its people, internal departments and operational capabilities to support further growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in construction procurement who wants to take ownership of the procurement process rather than simply process material orders. The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting project delivery, working closely with operational teams, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure materials, plant and equipment are sourced effectively, competitively priced and delivered in line with project requirements.
The role offers genuine scope for progression as the procurement department continues to develop, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility and contribute to the management and future direction of the function.

- 25-30 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
- Ongoing training and professional development.
- Genuine opportunities for career progression and increased responsibility.
- Full-time, office-based position.
Procurement Manager Position Overview
- Managing procurement activities across multiple construction projects, ensuring materials, plant and equipment are sourced competitively and in line with project requirements.

- Reviewing project drawings, specifications and procurement schedules to identify material requirements and ensure orders are placed at the right time.
- Taking ownership of the procurement process, monitoring progress and ensuring procurement schedules are followed through from initial requirements to delivery.
- Working closely with Project Managers and Site Managers to understand upcoming requirements, coordinate orders and resolve any supply issues.
- Reviewing material requests and challenging requirements where necessary, using construction knowledge to identify suitable products, alternatives and potential cost savings.
- Maintaining procurement trackers and ensuring accurate records of quotations, orders, deliveries and supplier information.
- Coordinating the sourcing of plant, equipment and construction materials across the business.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to improve purchasing efficiencies, reduce costs and add value across projects.
- Supporting the wider procurement function as the department continues to grow.

- Ability to review construction drawings, specifications and procurement schedules to identify project requirements.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the confidence to challenge costs, negotiate pricing and identify opportunities for savings.
- Ability to take ownership of procurement activities and manage multiple requirements across live projects.
- Proactive approach with the ability to think independently, anticipate project requirements and identify potential issues.
- Strong organisational skills and experience maintaining procurement trackers and documentation.
- Experience within façade, cladding, roofing or wider building envelope construction would be highly advantageous.
