Bennett and Game Recruitment currently have the pleasure of representing a well-established Town Planning Consultancy based in York, who are seeking an ambitious Principal Town Planner to join the team. Our client offer wide selection of planning services and advice on a mixture of projects within the residential, strategic land, energy and environmental project across England and Wales.

With 2 offices based throughout the UK, our client has developed a healthy pipeline and a strong cliental. Their steady workload, not only stems from repeat business of private clients but also from an sister company. As a Principal Town Planner you will be a vital part of the wider team, working independently on projects from beginning through to conclusion. You will be liaising directly with clients including, building new client relationships and managing existing relationships with client meetings and site visits. Principal Town Planner Position Overview

  • Working on a wide range of planning applications and planning appeals with an emphasis on large-scale residential and renewable energy projects
  • Communicating effectively with both other professional and client's
  • Delivering projects within set timeframe
  • Completing planning applications, advice and appraisals
  • Offering in-depth planning advice and consultation

Principal Town Planner Position Requirements

  • 5-8 years+ of relevant experience
  • RTPI Registered or working towards Chartership
  • A proven track record managing caseloads for different types of planning applications ideally with an emphasis on the residential and/or renewable energy sectors
  • Ability to liaise and uphold client relationships.
  • Degree qualified
  • The ability to prepare and present high quality planning reports
  • Extensive experience working in either of the private or public sectors
