Our client, a Multi- disciplined practice is seeking a Building Surveyor to join their offices based in Stockport. This is due to our expanding work load we require an ambitious individual to be part of a busy office to work on a variety of interesting projects within the education, ecclesiastical and commercial sectors.

As a Building Surveyor your role will be to design and manage projects and professional work. The main duties will include condition surveys, report writing, preparing funding bids, preparing budget estimates, producing specifications for tender issue, planning and building regulations applications, contract administration and project management from initial inception through the design and procurement process and project delivery on site.

Building Surveyor Position Overview

  • Building Surveyor working Multi- disciplined practice based in Stockport
  • Experience in Project Management and Building surveying
  • Working on a range of projects from education, healthcare, ecclesiastical to commercial sectors.
  • Specialise in Education Building Consultancy and are widely regarded to be the Education Property Experts.
  • Providing a range of professional services, principally in architecture, surveying, engineering and facilities management together with advice on energy, sustainability and health and safety.
  • Condition surveys, report writing, preparing funding bids and preparing budget estimates.

Building Surveyor Position Requirements

  • Either a Member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors or enrolled on their APC and working towards becoming a Member of the RICS
  • RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are key
  • Confidence in client facing role
  • Excellent personal time management and highly organised
  • Good IT skills including AutoCAD
  • UK driving licence is essential
  • Enhanced DBS Check (to be carried out upon appointment)

Building Surveyor Position Remuneration

  • Competitive Salary (D.O.E) £40k - £50k
  • RICS Subscriptions Paid
  • 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays
