Renewable Energy Consultant / Business Development Manager required for our client, a well-established and leading renewable energy installation company, specialising in heat pumps and biomass systems who are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their sales team based in Surrey.

The sales manager's focus will mainly be on large domestic and commercial ground source and air source heat pump project sales. Developing the already successful sales pipeline, the successful candidate will build working relationships with sustainability managers, end-user companies, main contractors, M&E Contractors, architects and consultants in order to increase sales opportunities. They will put an emphasis on visiting clients to assist in the specification, quotation and design of the company's products.

The role will involve representing the company and the services that they offer, from the initial design of the project through to the post sales service and maintenance contracts. The successful sales manager should be comfortable with a customer facing role that will involve visiting high end domestic properties.

The Business Development Manager will have a minimum of 18 months' sales experience, and experience of meeting and exceeding sales targets. The ideal candidate will come from a technical or engineering background, and have industry knowledge of the renewable energy industry.

  • Experience of the Renewable Energy Market would be advantageous
  • Basic Mechanical or Electrical knowledge or understanding
  • Technical or Engineering background would be desirable
  • Degree Qualified would be preferred but not essential
  • Experience of B2B and B2C sales essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence
