Field Service Engineer required to work on hot water cylinders, solar thermal systems and heat pumps. Our client is a leading service and maintenance provider in the UK. They require a customer facing, professional service engineer with proven plumbing and heating skills to join their team covering a specific area within the North of England relative to the successful engineer's postcode. Areas include Cumbria, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, and Northumberland.
The Heating Engineer / Plumber / Solar Thermal Engineer will be based from home attending sites working on a wide range of domestic and light commercial renewable energy systems including solar thermal and ground source heat pumps. Daily duties will include performing routine service and maintenance tasks and rectifying any breakdowns on range of vented and unvented hot water cylinders.
The role would suit an experienced heating engineer or plumber who has experience of service and maintenance of hot water cylinders, vented and unvented systems and ideally some working knowledge of solar thermal systems or air source heat pumps. Full renewable energy product training is available.

Renewable Energy / Heating Engineer- North Position Requirements
- Unvented hot water qualification (G3)
- Experience of vented and unvented hot water cylinders, ground source heat pumps, solar thermal systems
- Previous experience as a plumber, heating engineer or renewables engineer
- Qualifications in either mechanical or electrical disciplines desirable
- CSCS card, Confined Space, 17th Edition or Part P qualifications desirable
- Full driving licence
Renewable Energy / Heating Engineer- North Position Remuneration
- Salary £25K to £30k depending on experience
- Overtime + Annual Bonus
- Company Vehicle + Travel time
- 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
- Overnight stay allowance
